Mini Split Systems

Mini Split Systems

Highly efficient, ductless heating and cooling solutions consisting of an outdoor compressor and one or more indoor air handlers. Mini-split systems provide targeted climate control for specific rooms or zones without requiring bulky window units or extensive ductwork

How They Work

Unlike traditional forced-air systems that can lose up to 30% of conditioned air through leaky ductwork, mini-splits transfer heat directly into a space.

In Cooling Mode, heat from the room is absorbed by the refrigerant and released outside.

In Heating Mode, the process is reversed to extract outdoor heat and move it indoors.

Zoning: A single outdoor unit can often support multiple indoor units, each with its own thermostat

Common Applications

Additions & Renovations: Perfect for sunrooms, garages, attics, or new home additions where extending existing ductwork is too difficult or expensive.

Older Homes: Ideal for historic or older homes originally built without space for ductwork.

Problem Areas: Excellent for rooms that are notoriously hard to heat or cool, balancing out uneven temperatures across a multi-story house

Ductless mini-split systems provide hyper-efficient, targeted heating and cooling without bulky ductwork. They reduce energy waste by up to 30%, allow for individual room temperature control, and are much easier to install than traditional central air systems.

Benefits of AC Mini Split Systems

Superior Energy Efficiency: Without leaky or uninsulated ducts, these systems prevent significant energy loss. They use variable-speed inverter technology to adjust compressor speeds, driving down electricity bills.

Independent Zoning: Each indoor unit acts as its own climate zone. You can easily heat or cool specific rooms while turning off units in unoccupied areas.

Easy, Non-Invasive Installation: Installation requires only a tiny 3-inch hole to connect the indoor and outdoor units, eliminating the need to tear into walls or ceilings.

Improved Indoor Air Quality: Unlike traditional ducts that trap and circulate dust and allergens, mini-splits use advanced multi-stage, washable filtration systems.

Whisper-Quiet Operation: Eliminating the loud “whoosh” of forced air makes both the indoor air handlers and outdoor compressors exceptionally quiet.

Versatile Placement: Indoor units can be mounted on walls, ceilings, or floors, making them a perfect solution for home additions, garages, or older homes without existing ductwork

Ductless mini-split systems require professional maintenance twice a year to ensure peak energy efficiency, prevent costly repairs, and maintain air quality.

What Maintenance Covers

A standard technician visit should include:

Filter cleaning/replacement: Washing or replacing the indoor air filters to maintain airflow.

Coil sanitation: Deep-cleaning the evaporator and condenser coils to remove buildup of mold, mildew, and dust.

Refrigerant check: Monitoring pressure levels and inspecting lines for leaks.

Drain inspection: Clearing the condensate drain line to prevent water damage and leaks.

Electrical diagnostics: Tightening loose connections and checking voltage and amperage
